This year, solicitors firm Hegarty, is celebrating its 50th anniversary as a trusted legal companion to people and communities in the region.
To mark the milestone, Hegarty pledged to complete 50 fundraising and community
support initiatives throughout the year, as well as aiming to raise £10,000 for local
charities, including Sports Connections Foundation.
We’re delighted to report that Hegarty surpassed this ambitious goal by July, at which
time the fundraising total had reached over £11,000.
The firm’s commitment to the community shone through a variety of activities. Team
members made donations to the Peterborough Soup Kitchen, provided Easter treats to
The Little Miracles charity, and supported Mutts Nutts Rescue with pet supplies.
Hegarty proudly sponsored events like the Deeping Literary Festival, the Peterborough
Celebrates Festival, and Bourne’s Picnic in the Park, too.
The fundraising activities also included a virtual cycle challenge in April, where the
Hegarty team cycled 150 miles in one day. In June, 15 team members completed the
grueling Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge, further contributing to the fundraising total.
With months still to go before the end of the year, Hegarty plans to continue its
community efforts, sponsoring local events, organising a charity sports day, and
volunteering with the Trussell Trust Food Banks and Peterborough Soup Kitchen.
Hegarty’s milestone year and its fundraising success highlight the firm’s commitment to
supporting the communities they serve.
