A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all from everyone at SCF!
Just before the holidays began we went down to Addenbrookes Hospital to bring some festive cheer across the wards to some very brave and deserving children.
As was the case last year we took with us some presents, our Charity Director Junior McDougald, our good friend, and incredible magician, Jamie Seagrave, Charity Champion Gareth Simpson, our very own Spider-Man as well as a guest appearance
from Hogwarts headmaster Professor Dumbledore!

It was such a privilege seeing the smiles and happiness that our visit gave these children and their families, especially in circumstances that mean they were likely to still be receiving treatment over the festive period. To give them a break and a boost, even for just 5 minutes was wonderful, whether it was the excitement that Spider-Man and Dumbledore where visiting them or the incredible magic tricks Jamie was performing.
We also managed to surprise one young man by announcing to him that we are going to be providing a Sporting Wish for him in the New Year, the look on his face was priceless and the fact we as a Children's Charity are able to do things such as this is a testament to the work we do, but none of this would be possible without the support we receive from you all, I'd like to say a huge thank you to everyone that helps us make these dreams come true and for the continued support you have shown us over 2018! Now whilst Spider-Man may be a super hero that everyone knows of I must say that the true super heroes are the staff at Addenbrookes, they are all incredibly caring people who work tirelessly, especially at a time of year where a lot of us are on annual leave or on holiday and it was nice to know that our visit also brought about some joy to their day.
