Everyone here at Sports Connections Foundation would like to take the time to say a big 'congratulations’ to Matt Paterson, one of our very own 'ProKick Schools Challenge' professional team, who helped his team (Oxford City) make history at the weekend!
Matt’s goal in the 46th minute of the match against Colchester was not only the winning goal, but was also the goal that qualified Oxford to the second round of the FA Cup for the first time in their 135 year history!
Matt is one of our team of Play Specialists, who travel the country delivering our ProKick Schools Challenge Program to Primary school children around the UK. You may have seen him before if your school has participated in our event recently, if not, here is what teachers and students had to say about him and our ProKick challenge recently:
"A really enjoyable event for all ages. Our host player Matt was fantastic with the children" – Mrs Gemma Halford (Oakwood School)
"The event was a huge success, every pupil had the opportunity to take the challenge and thoroughly enjoyed taking part. A great way to raise money for a wonderful cause" – Mrs J E Duffin (Kirkstone House School)
"The challenge has made me feel confident that I can achieve anything" - Jordelle (11)

I’m sure you’ll all join us in wishing him and Oxford the best of luck when they play Notts County on the 2nd of December!
