Jeff Brazier Supports SCF

Jeff Brazier is a proud supporter of Sports Connections Foundation

It was a gorgeous sunny day when we made our road trip down to Essex to meet the lovely Jeff Brazier, alongside the ESP magazine crew. Little did we know what a down to earth, friendly and chatty guy we were about to meet!

ESP magazine have partnered with our charity to help raise awareness locally of the work that Sports Connections Foundation do to help vulnerable and disadvantaged children. One of the things the magazine are doing to help SCF is to write a double page spread every month showcasing the work that we are doing - and the celebs who are helping us to do it!

Jeff has worked with Sports Connections Foundation since the early days, among many things such as providing auction prizes, signing SCF t-shirts and attending our events, Jeff was also a part of the team who launched our ProKick Schools Challenge, by visiting primary schools across the UK to help deliver the programme and encouraging kids to raise as much sponsorship money as possible!

Jeff really appreciates the work we do as a children's charity

Whilst in Essex, we spoke to Jeff about his new book coming out in June, which talks about what it is like raising the boys following their mother's death (Jade Goody). He hopes that this book will help many children and their families who are struggling with similar circumstances, some of whom are the the same children that Sports Connections Foundation support through our "Inspire Through Sport" programmes. Jeff is very proud of this book, and has worked so hard on it, with the same empathy, integrity and passion that he applies to every project, so it is good to know that the charity has such warm and genuine supporters and ambassadors behind us!

I am looking forward to meeting the next ambassador - and I aim to get a better selfie the next time!
